Energy Efficient Light Bulbs: this is the number of energy efficient light bulbs sold by MCM entrepreneurs since we began offering them in January of 2008. As the cost of electricity in the developing world can be prohibitively high, these compact fluorescent light bulbs greatly reduce monthly electricity bills. Solar Lamps/Cell Phone Chargers: this is the number of solar lamps (with cell phone chargers) sold by MCM entrepreneurs since we began offering them in February of 2010. These lamps/chargers provide rural villagers with light in their homes and cell phone charging capability and allow them to save money on electricity bills and/or candles.
